A retailer was in desperate need for efficient management of inbound pallets, particularly addressing non-compliant pallets that did not meet standards.

Solutions

Over a 12-month period, Relogistics audited 3.2 million pallets across 45 sites and assigned 360 associates to manage the operations. Relogistics implemented a robust inbound pallet management strategy that included:

  • Auditing and Flipping: A total of 843,000 rental pallets and 519,000 GMA pallets were flipped to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Defect Management: Various defects such as broken top and bottom boards, missing blocks, and other miscellaneous issues were identified and rectified.
  • Comprehensive Training: Associates were trained to detect and address these defects efficiently, ensuring that only compliant pallets moved through the supply chain.
